“Sabretooth” Gun Concept
Software: Autodesk Maya
Tris: 4,004
Summary: “Sabretooth” Sidearm concept. Basically, the gun has two evil little 12″ blades mounted off the barrel used for quick slashing or stabbing. The gun also features an interchangeable blade that runs up the length of the forearm with the tip protruding roughly 6″ off of the users elbow. The “screw” in the middle of the rear blade secures a strap used to secure the blade against the users forearm. This blade is used to protect the user or to use the force of the elbow/ forearm to lay down devastatingly savage blows to their enemies. The rear blade can be changed out to facilitate the use of a 24″ shield as an alternative. This would offer more defensive but less offensive capabilities.
I was inspired by the film “Equilibrium” in which “Monks” use pistols as part of a form of martial arts. I just figured it would be cool to take it one step further by adding a couple blades to a standard sidearm for up close and personal nastiness!
